BoscoArteStenico Museo d’Arte nella Natura

Contemporary Art Competition

BRIEF

Upstream of the town of Stenico, from where you can appreciate the Castle, an easy walk, completely accessible to disabled people, will be the way to know the works left on the place of execution by the guest authors of this meeting with contemporary art.

The pieces will be distributed, in fact, along a path in the woods, occupying the different levels, the grass, the trunks, the branches:
conceived both as installations and as sculptures in trunks fixed in the ground, the works will dialogue with each other and with visitors through symbolic language art.

The formula that connects Castello di Stenico, the Rio Bianco (Adamello Brenta Park) and BoscoArteStenico nature areas, will form a unique itinerary that will offer visitors Nature and Art in a landscape of exceptional beauty.

Theme

For the 2018 edition of BAS the theme chosen is “FEMALE”.
Feminine: a part of the world, of history and culture.
Antithetical or complementary to the masculine depending on the contexts, the po systems ties and ideologies. Great wealth, indispensable appearance and value. Synonymous with strength and beauty. Myth built or pursued for centuries and millennia. Place dedicated to the replication of life and its care, in the past in an exclusive and categorical manner, today more shared through a new culture and availability.
A place of aesthetic wealth and versatility, as well as fears and conflicts. Forms and always fascinating and rich contents, depositaries of dreams, mysteries and projects.
