SMY ARTS 3rd EDITION
BRIEF
It is a contest organized by the students of the Executive Master in communication and European politics at IHECS Academy in Brussels. This year, the 2017-2018 team is organizing the third edition of SMY ARTS: “Designs for European Democracy”.
It gives you the opportunity to express your creativity and convey your vision of European democracy by participating in a design competition. The objective of this contest is to make your voice heard as a citizen of the European Union by showing in an artistic way your own representation of European democracy.
Categories
This competition is na opportunity to share your vision of Europe na democracy with others, and to compete for a prize and for na opportunity to take part in na exhibition in Brussels, the heart of EU. There are three categories in this competition:
1.A home for European democracy — a building of which the EU can be proud, as a future home for na EU institution
2.An agora for European democracy — town planning to reconnect the EU institutions with the people
3.A monument for European democracy — a symbolic structure to celebrate the making of the EU
SCHEDULE
Deadline for submission: 15 February 2018
Date of the event: 20 March 2018.
AWARDS
First prize – 500€.
Second prize – 300€.
Third prize – 100€.
Special prize – 100€ for the public’s favourite entry.
