BRIEF
The competition dialogue is for Neratovice to select a long-term and reliable architectural partner for the design of the revitalization of the entire building and especially its reconstruction.
The task for the participants is very complex due to the size of the house itself and the complexity of the programs it encounters. The tenderer expects to present a sustainable concept of treatment of buildings, which are nowadays overvalued remains of the past. The building should be presented to the public in a contemporary context that “Culture Houses” does not just impose, but thanks to the work of a number of Czech art historians and scholars, it re-emerges the quality that has hitherto been hidden behind the opus of the emotions of direct experience.
That is why we appeal to the participants to present a conceptual procedure in which they define how they would treat this particular house and what architectural, communication and negotiation process they would set.
