AIMS

The Open Call “MAKING ART 4.0” is aimed at promoting creativity, integrated and enhanced with technology.
Artists are invited to experiment with artistic creation using digital technology.
The selected submissions will be displayed in our third “MAKING ART 4.0” exhibition that will be held in the Catedral de Justo Gallego Martinez, the iconic building built by one man over 60 years, in Mejorada del Campo near Madrid, Spain, between 28th September and 7th October 2018.

The works admitted to the competition need to have been produced using one or more of the following manufacturing processes:
– 2D and 3D CNC Milling
– 3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing
– Arduino and Raspberry PI
– Cutter Plotter
– Laser cutting and carving
– Robotics
It is also necessary to provide accurate documentation of the creation process e.g. provide instructions, materials lists, 2d or 3d files for the machinery used
and /or the Arduino, Raspberry PI or Robotics firmware. Participants are not required to state how they have obtained the files, but they need to be provided.
Other ideas that can be reproduced using digital means ( i.e.: through the use of files) and made with different technical equipment from the above mentioned
ones, will also be taken into consideration ( i.e.: drawings made with drones, etc ).
In practice, the artist should create a project and document it in a “recipe” that Scan And Make users can reproduce. The artist must create a work and provide
